Journals We Aggregate

gitgap currently aggregates from 0 journals, covering 0 articles. Gaps are extracted from every paper's discussion, limitations, and conclusions sections.

No journals are currently registered in the active index. Add journals via the admin panel or submit a request.

How reconcile works

Each journal is reconciled periodically against its source (PMC or OAI-PMH endpoint). The reconcile process:

  1. Fetches the current article list for the journal's search query or OAI feed
  2. Adds any new articles to the ingest pipeline
  3. Detects articles that have been retracted or removed and marks them as tombstoned
  4. Updates the article count and last-reconciled timestamp

Reconcile runs do not re-process articles already in the index — only new and changed articles are processed. Deduplication prevents duplicate gap entries when the same paper appears in multiple sources.

Coverage gaps

The current index is weighted toward biomedical and life sciences via PMC. We are actively expanding to social sciences, computer science, psychology, and physics via OAI-PMH and publisher APIs. If your journal is not listed, submit a request — OAI-PMH-enabled journals can typically be added within 24–48 hours.

Your journal not listed?
Submit your journal for aggregation → We support PMC-indexed journals, OJS journals via OAI-PMH, and manual DOI submission for journals without a machine-readable feed.
